The roof’s rear side had no wall and was supported by stone columns.

In the mid-19th century, the cannon house was converted into the bailiff’s house, which also housed a holding cell.

The building was completely demolished at the end of the 19th century. Some of the much larger cannon embrasures, adapted for heavy guns, can still be seen here.
